I use traditional practices as well as digital to create my artwork. Normally I make a sketch on paper in a sketchbook using pens and inks. I use this sketch to create the line art traditional. After, I take a picture with my phone and use filters on my gallery to make the sketch fade and have the line art be more promenade. I put the line art in my program of choice, normally IBIS Paint, and I start to clean up the line art depending on how messy the line art is. I will also add and fix things that I messed up while drawing traditionally.
Next, I add the flat colors that either are based off a reference or picked off the in-program color picker and changed depending how they look next to other colors over time. I will also mess with the transparently of colors while shading and rendering. I don't render or shade my art all the time but when I do, I normal do it at the same time. If the art looks wrong to me in some way, I go in and fix things to make sure the art looks the way I want it to and maybe add some warmth or saturation after completing my art.
Finally, that's when I would finish my artwork, but sometimes I'll find mistakes after finishing and posting online. Sometimes I live with it but other times I'll go back in a fix stuff for my own personal Porfilio.
